Hugging Face has been one of those resources I keep telling myself I should check periodically, but I hadn’t revisited it in many months. Now, I’m re-energized to stay updated. Re removing an image's background, this is very useful for passport photos. Now you can renew your passport on line. Just did it. mytravel.state.gov/s/ Took under 2 weeks to get passport back. Only problem was the uploaded face photo taken with a smart phone. You have to have white or offwhite background. Photo taken against white apartment wall somehow came out brownish. Was rejected. I used Photoshop "brighten" to fix that. But this tool would also work.
