I just read “Indistractable” by Nir Eyal, the author of “Nudge.” He also suggests timeboxing your day to protect your focus time and tracking how you actually spend it. But the most important insight for me was to track what triggered a distraction. It is often a difficult task you are avoiding, so if you can recognize and manage that discomfort, you can better stay on track. And have more time for doing the things you want to do!
